AvisPavilion

The Avis Used Car Sales Pavilion was designed/built as a small office for one or two car salesmen to sell used cars. It was designed as a pavilion in a green space. The large protective butterfly roof was reminiscence of the large canopy roofs associated with molder gas station structure. The roof structure is framed with native lumber (pine rafters with poplar decking) supported on white oak timbers. The exterior siding and interior paneling are both milled from reclaimed cypress salvaged bourbon vats in a dismantled distillery in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky. Over the years, the small building has become a landmark in the local Architectural community.
