Soy-based foam insulation, energy efficient windows, Energy Star appliances, low VOC paint, dual flush toliets, even an old barn is recyled into this home. A wood stove for heat is backed by a geo-thermal unit. The design promotes passive heating and maximizes natural light. Over 22 different specifies of wood are found throughout the home including cork and hardwood flooring from Kentucky forests.
